InfraSauna Gives the Best of Both - by Craig Lahti

Traditional Sauna and Infrared in the Same Room? InfraSauna Gives the Best of Both, without Compromise - by Craig Lahti

Most people researching saunas to help decide which room to purchase have read about both traditional saunas and far-infrared saunas. Most websites will strongly defend one and will discuss the faults of the other. With an InfraSauna, you can focus on the strengths of both, and you can forget about any weaknesses.

Traditional sauna enthusiasts love the higher heat, the ability of changing humidity by sprinkling water over the rocks, and having a room large enough to lie down or to share the experience with several friends and family members. For far-infrared lovers, the deep penetrating heat with lower temperatures provides a relaxation and experience unlike any other heat bath. Because of the lower temperatures, the infrared bathers can typically stay in the sauna longer and enjoy more amenities, like music and television.

With an InfraSauna, the best of both heat baths is combined into one room. An InfraSauna can be designed for a space as small as 4x4 and as large as 7x8. It can be a custom-cut package to install on the homeownerís framed walls or a free-standing panel-built design. The design can follow the contours of existing walls, or it can be a standard rectangle. The Prestige Series saunas are also available as InfraSaunas.

For those couples who do not enjoy the same heat bathing experience, the InfraSauna is ideal. While only one heat source can be used at a time, a couple could use the far-infrared panels first to allow the person who enjoys lower temperatures to have her experience, and when the first person is ready to exit the sauna, the heat source can be changed to traditional sauna. Since the infrared bathing time will have preheated the room, the wait for the sauna to achieve traditional sauna bathing temperatures is reduced. When used in this manner, a couple that enjoys two different bathing experiences may find a time of overlap where they are each able to enjoy the room together.

Others use the dual sauna types according to mood or time of day. Many prefer infrared bathing in the morningóas a "perk-me-up, start-the-dayî sauna prior to a shower, and the traditional sauna as an evening activity. With an InfraSauna, each bather can truly choose the sauna type that fits their mood.

Custom designs and dual heat sources make the InfraSauna an attractive option to many. Besides the room basics of design and heat sources, the InfraSauna incorporates more amenities, like Color Light Therapy and a digital control. Because a person can spend more time in the low temperatures of infrared, an entertainment center with a TV, DVD, and an iPod Locker can be included in the design. However, for those traditional sauna enthusiasts who like these amenities, don't despair, the same options exist, but with a few more features added to allow them to handle the higher temperature and humidity.
